I made the finals in our race, and i reapplied graphite to car before the finals. I thought i did a good job of applying, i guess i didnt though. My times went slower and slower..i really didnt have any good runs and finished lower than i started.....can too much graphite be added?...Should loose flaky graphite be blown off?
How much adding and spinning should be done?..Do the wheels need to be graphite free on the surface tread? I feel i didnt do something right, if i couldnt speed up at all..even after adding graphite.
Im wondering if I am missing something...thanks.

It can take a couple passes to break in the graphite. The car should have sped back up.
You may have also ran into a situation where the car were running closer together in the finals. This could have resulted in slower times.

Any chance you used a different graphite? Not all graphite is the same...
