I have some wheels from last year I would like to use on another car this year.
Would cleaning with alcohol and re-waxing make it any better? (prepped with
red rocket last year) Or should I just blow out and re-graphite.
I don't mind cleaning and re-waxing as I will be removing the wheels anyway.

Everyone does things a little different when it comes to graphite, but this is what we do:

Wash wheels in McGuires car wash soap.
Rinse and blow out with compressor.
Mix a little graphite with Red Rocket.
Put mixture in wheel bores (evenly coating inside)
Put wheels in a sealed container and let dry (24 hrs to ???)

Clean out wax
Burnish in more graphite.

The boys race in 3 scout races every year, we follow this for every race.

Hope it helps.

If the wheels have been sitting that long, it is always best to re-prep. You never know if dust or something has found its way into the wheels.
I keep our old cars in a curio cabinet, no dust inside it but when I pulled out a car, I found small cob webs around one of the wheels. So I always re=prep.
