Ready for Mid America!

I am experimenting with mixing small amounts of glue with the oil and only using it in the left rear wheel to get a torque vectoring effect so that I do not have to bend the front axle and still get the 10-12" of steer needed for the car not to wiggle.

The Tiger's car in our group has Dynasty Nitros on the front and back on the right, then a BASX wheel with the old Krytox blend on the rear left side to try to achieve that same effect. The others are using the Black Ice polish and Rocket Fuel oil. It's a bit of a risky attempt considering I don't have a track to try it out, but for a Tiger, I think that car will be fast.

That is a unique setup for sure. Keep us posted on how it runs. Did you not bend the front axle at all?

Watch for Carson Baldwin's car in the Tigers. That's the one. I did bend the front axle, but there is not quite as much steer as I would estimate it would otherwise need.

The scouts in my group are: Carson Baldwin (Tiger), Dalton Goodness (Wolf), Carter Baldwin (Bear), and Dawson Goodness (Webelo).

Cool. I will be working on Saturday but will be watching every chance I get. Good luck to them all and I will be cheering them on.

That's an interesting concept Cramjet.....certainly out of the box thinking. It will be interesting to hear your results and thoughts after the car has a chance to run.

Two out of three of those cars were badly damaged (we'll help you with shipping /images/boards/smilies/tongue.gif). Carson's car had some major surgery done, including a new front wheel (2.0 gram). Yep you are correct, the front axle did not have enough bend, but it does now. Also, polished the washers, reset all of the wheel gaps, and cleaned the wheel tread (clean wheels are fast wheels). I did not have enough to do a full reprep, but it should be respectable. No jig on the axles and all wheels now have the new Rocket Fuel oil. Dawson's car was also damaged, but only to the point of the wheel and axle falling off the car. The wind deflector was rubbing on the inside of the wheel, so we had to remove it. Re-prepped the one wheel and re-installed.

B Regal your Awesome! hopefully our cars made it in good shape.
