Rear wheel cant for eliminator

Awesome advice. Thank you, I have misinterpreted the posts in past and thought it applied to all classes. I do also know like many have said, do what works for you, but without a test track I have only been able to prepare several cars to try out. I had a bad expirence shipping two cars in January and have not tried since so I've got to throw it all down at our company race next month. Our rule allow for any modifications I can dream up so long as just the parts from the kit get used so I have built cars similar to the eliminator class minus the 84 axles. Now I have to see what I can do to fix my rears cause my three cars all have neg 3 degrees.

Sorry to disturb the thread but I can only take so much of this Cardinals stuff ... We call them the "Red Rats" around here !

Thanks JBD. I spent some time sketching up the wheel an axle assembly in an attempt to understand how the axle bears weight on the wheel with pos/neg/no cant How many of you have used backspaced wheels to make razors? I have pinecar wheels I have to stick with and they are the kind that are backspaced and have spokes.

How much steer do you give your eliminator cars over 4'? I had a lot of wiggle during the last race. I am thinking I didn't have enough steer, or too aggressive a COM, or both.

I use 2 inches over 8 feet as a start, then more or less after testing on a track.
I am thinking 1 inch or less over 4 feet. But I never actually measured at that distance.

Ted, I think if your last months car had another inch of steer it would have been good.

Sondo, you should know what state I live in by now ! We call it God's Country ! And every year since 1982 after the Brewers bow out of the pennant race, we just go back to cheering for the Packers 150 %.
