Looking at all the lane stats in the past few races the red lane has been the dominant lane(With 4 cars running).
What does it all mean? We know the track is consistent across all lanes, so what else is there (besides the other cars on the track)? What happens to make these outside lanes seem faster, but yet be consistent in comparison? Those questions can be answered here, in the forum. Seek and you will find.

Here what I think happens. I think the outside lanes only get dirty air on one side, thus making them faster. Why is the red lane faster than the blue then. Here is my theory. Most builders are right handed. What I think happens is the dirty air only hits the car on the inside of the car, thus pushing the car body to the left(as it is going down the track) What happens is the car body and the FDW have less pressure holding them together, therefore making the car faster.
hmmm

If that's true then the cars with a left side DFW would post their fastest runs in the blue lane, right? So does the data bear that out?
It's a plausible theory Rocket, much better than what I was thinking.

I'm thinking that the blue lane being close to the wall might have some effect on speed. Durning the races with all of the dirty air moving around, possibly the air is kicked back from the wall in such a way that slightly affects the speed of the cars in the blue lane making it slightly slower then the red.

Just a thought.

Here's one data point that does not fit: I build all my cars as southpaws. They generally perform better in the red lane than the blue lane.

It looks to me (though maybe its an illusion) that the big wheeled cars get a better start in the red and blue lanes.

That's what I was thinking! But I liked Rocket's theory better. The wall is pretty far away to have an effect I thought. But then LB shot a hole in Rocket's theory......
