Hello fellas,

I have been working on the reversed axle car and I am very curious about the optimal set-up for the inner hub to axle head contact point.

In other words:
When you guys run wheels reversed what does the region of the axle head to inner hub look like? I am guessing it is somewhat different than just the regular look of things. Right?

The answer is probably to buy a DD4 product, but I figured I would ask you guys first for the helluva it.

Any photos or info is greatly appreciated. I am sure the info is there to dig thru, but why bother with you guys around? Thanks to all for sharing.

Thanks,

Don't have a photo but essentially on my SP, at the axel head the "inner bore end" of the reverse wheel is coned as well as the axel head so in general it looks like a "V" if looking overhead straight down on the wheel and axel...with one half the V being the nail head and the other half being the tapered bore surface...that is of course with the wheel moved out and running on the axel head so that there is a gap in between the spacer and "outer hub" on the body side (rear wheels)....

Does that make sense? LOL!

Hey WK,

Thanks for the response. It probably makes sense, but I am having difficulty picturing it.

Perhaps if I read it over a few more times.

Thanks again,

that is of course on one side of the axel....the other side would also be a V but in the other direction....with the bottom tip of the V pointed toward the center of the axel....

I have a feeling you will do rather well.
