Rocky Mountain Derby Summer Slam 2017!!!

Any thoughts on making the BASX and Street Stock or just BASX class use only current style BSA wheels. This would make them cheaper entry level classes with more readily available wheels and options. I think this would directly help build the league with new builders. I know $50 for a set of wheels has not helped speed my decision along to send any cars in.

I think keeping the costs down for the new guys in the AM classes is a good thing if it motivates them to jump in.
But, eventually you'll have to jump in the deep end...
A good set of wheels can last a few years if you take care of them. I have old style wheels that I have been running for 2 years. Yes, they are still capable of winning,

A couple years? Good to know. I am already prepping my Street Stock wheels for the end of the year races. That new #4 Black Ice wax must like longer cure time because I tried curing it only 3 days and lost speed. Washed the wheels with car soap and layered over it with the stuff I was using and got the speed back. Is five months a good cure time?;)

Not able to click on the video and watch it. Usually there is a live stream link; but at the top of this thread, I only see a link to YouTube. This computer is still running Vista, so that may have something to do with it.

Congratulation to all the winners! Just got done watching it on YouTube. Those were some fast cars. Hopefully before too long my kids and I can start racing with all of you.

ole chippy where are you? Do you wanna have pinks race tonight

Troy I did not see this before the race because well, I was prepping a track and software to run a race. Seems you like to still run your mouth even though you have proven how you play from your attendance at MA. I imagine you would not like the tech in we do. But feel free to participate anytime.
