My sons pack derby was this week. The track surface has seen better days and left the rear wheel edges kind of rough. There aren't any gouges left in them just a light roughness. The edge even seems slightly raised from the rest of the tread.
Do any of you have a good method of polishing the tread back up after some wear and tear? I have a wheel mandrel with the centering cone. I was thinking of taking some wet 1k or 2k sand paper with the wheel spinning slow on a hand drill. Then finish with novus2.
I plan to enter both our cars in this month's league race for BASX. He also has his district race on April 11th and then we'll be sending it to MA's. Still debating whether I'm going to spring for MA wheels for his car or not for that event.
