Score... found a track for testing

I found a local hobby shop that has a 32 foot track with a timer system.

Any ideas on best ways to tune?
Should I take a tuning board or just check drift upon returning?
I assume I should clean it before running. I will need to modify the stop section as it looked to only be 40" and I assume that is not enough.
Should I film it to watch in slo mo for study?
