Good looking build "V" Hope it's a fast one!

It was 65 hard top, but just a st8 6 cylinder engine, automatic. But I agree....it was fun driving around in it and it always garnered some looks!

We used to do all the engine work, tune ups, bleeding the brakes, cleaning plugs, changing oil, filters, belts, etc.....this was when you popped the hood and there was still at least 1/3 of the space under the hood open around the engine....you could see the ground under the car, stick your whole head, hand and arm in and change things, lube, clean, replace....

Nowadays I dont even want to pull the oil stick LOL, if you can even find it LOL....if I go to jiffy lube or some similar place its half mechanics and half electronics.....

Sometimes I miss the simpler days LOL

Good looking car Victor! We both choose Blue for our next race. Yours looks better than mine. I used an old can of Krylon High Gloss Blue. Hope it's fast! Thanks for trying to cheer me up earlier after my paint disaster.

MOFAST-

Brother I know it hurt when you had that happen ... This car has all kinds of small things happen during this process... My last shooting of color the paint pulled... Not sure why it was dry and clean and I was doing that touch up I told you I had to do... I know you can pull your car through... We are alike when it comes to wanting it done nice... I have learned many things in this process... We all put tons of time into these cars and our pride shows in the final touch.. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

But when I sit here now... I have to look at all the PM's we shared during our builds.. regardless how they look we created a bond between us... I think that is where this would be the hey it may look different than I wanted... But I have met knew people and creating friendships....

I personally like Testors as I shot old school allot and variety of colors.. I do not like their primer it takes forever to dry...I have shot Walmart Brand allot and like it.. Color choice blows.. When I saw this Blue and the white I was going to do would have been awesome but I changed my approach as time is not enough right now... The one color is cool and with me wanting the white I chose pinstripes to help it along the way... Now my wheel color that is a different story as the wheel with the best bores I have here are Yellow... So once these go on the car will look different and I am not happy but I am going for performance not just looks.

I have a feeling your car will rip mine apart with your prep and parts ... So Hang in there Brother and lets run as they are and have fun .... I want to see your car tearing it up and making some heads turn ... I can't wait to see all of your cars I know they will be fine.....

Here is a look at Blue-By-U with her stripes ..... Way to early to place pinstripes on a car ..

These need to be in place 4 hours before I can shoot the clear and call this baby done... She has been a fun build... A crazy challenge for painting and a learning experience for me....

Thank You to all the advice you have shared on this forum... To those I have been chatting with behind the scenes you all inspire me to push myself harder not just in the Hobby but in my personal life as well

Special Thanks to a person out on this forum as he has helped me tremendously --
