Sherline or Taig Micro II Lathe

I'm not sure where to post this, so I'll try here.

I've caught the bug to buy a lathe (and a mill at some later time). I know that I can buy perfectly machined wheels from John, but I would like to learn to do it myself too. (I think PWD was started with the intent of learning new skills, and I'm not ready to stop learning yet.). I will lathe PWD wheels on the lathe, but I would also like to make other things as well. I don't mind spending extra money if one is better than the other, because I'll have it for a long time. I would like to get into clock and watchmaking as well. Do any of you have experience with or own these lathes? If so, would you buy it again? What would you do differently?

I just acquired a Taig but haven't used it yet. I have never messed with a Sherline. When it comes to a lathe it is all in the set up. Sure helps if you can find an experienced person to get you going. I never had that luxury.
