Hello all,
Can you tell me if you've ever seen this to be an issue. Since we got into scouts we have been using stock kit axles. Brand new out of the box every single one over the years measures egg-shaped where the wheel rides and gets more round towards the point. They all measure .082" on the low side and .091" on the high side. Our NSC rules have always stated that axles smaller than .084" are illegal. Even after we debur, groove and polish they are still .082" on the low side so I know we aren't taking much off.
I did see at last year's Council race someone get a wheel weighed and told it was not legal so I'm wondering what happens if someone measures our axles after the races.
