Here is a neat little machinist's square I came across earlier, but I thought I would post it over here too in the tools section. It's about 4" on the long side with a magnetic base. Could this double as a magnetic fence? That depends on whether your drill press has enough clearance to clear this while drilling, just a thought. Click on the picture for the link, they are on sale until the end of the month for $17.99.

Personally I am not a fan of aluminum squares.

I like this style better http://www.rockler.com/3-piece-engineer-square-set?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=&utm_content=pla&utm_campaign=PL&sid=V9146&gclid=Cj0KEQjwx4yfBRCt2rrAs-P5vtkBEiQAOdFXbeXCnSLo59vv-a0rcolmTVHdNhLzbsrlpxZ-WBeIng4aAhHZ8P8HAQ

Hey Paul,
How do you post just the photo? I always end up with this long address pasted here.
Thanks,
Joe

In the case of the image you were trying to post, you copied the URL for the product*. To get to just the picture, you need to click the "Zoom" button on that page, and then you can right-click on the picture and "copy image URL" (this in the Chrome browser). The image's URL is: http://assets.rockler.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/720x720/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/2/7/27237-01-1000.jpg Note that it ends in ".jpg". An image on the net will most likely end in ".jpg", ".gif", or ".png" When you see this at the end of your link, you've got the right link.

To post the picture, click on the tree (the "Insert Photo" link) above, and enter the image URL.

*You can use the chain link image (insert link) to provide a shortcut to the page. So, instead of the long link you have above, you could just have "Rockler 3-piece Engineer Square Set"

You can always embed the link into the picture like I did, go ahead and click on the picture in the original post I made.

Joe, I didn't plan on pounding nails with the square. /images/boards/smilies/cool.gif The aluminum works fine for what I would be doing with it. I liked the magnetic feature, kind of hard to accomplish for the same money, with a steel machinist's square.

Of course not.

Nails go in much nicer when pounded in with a T-square

Hi Eric,
Thanks for taking the time to explain. Unfortunately I am still having trouble.
Where is the insert photo button?
Thanks again,
Joe
