Well I got me Blue Devil V2 car running pretty well and it remembered I said I would make a video of staging time differences between different staging. To be honest I was shocked at the results. Sorry for the video it was shot with my phone you should get the full picture though.

Holy cow! Very good experiment! Thanks Q.T! What do you think is the reason some cars are different depending on the staging. What is the flaws to avoid in the building process to build a car that is happy however it's staged?

hmmm

Interesting!

Yeah... with mine being on the hairy edge of whatever... if I stage mine like you just did in that video, Joel, I would be all over the place with times... not just 0.001 different.

I was pretty shocked that on that car it was only .001. The ways you can set a car up to run like that have been dicused a few times on here. The to major things besides having enough steer is getting the rear of the car centered over the rails of the track, you do this by adjusting the body of the FDW in or out. With the different cuts of wheels out there you may have to add material to the FDW area to get the rear centered. Another thing to build a more consistent car is how much gap you have between the rail and the NON FDW when the the FDW is on the rail. If you get this right this is where you will find a ton of consistency. To tight will slow you down, to loose and it can be a wiggle fest. All cars are different there is not a perfect set gap. Hope this helps.

Thx, for the video Joel. Now if you could speed up my car in the black lane .01 to match the other lanes that would be great!

Try using black monocoat as a cover for your car, then when you get on the black lane you're car will be used to the color and won't get too scared to run fast,

I wish it was that easy!!

Good video and good information Q.T. You, Cam Car, and any others do an awesome job staging! This is proof that having a car setup properly is the key, not staging.
