Staging Idea

I've been using the arrow on the back of my car to mark the edge of the rail. Then I thought if we added the staging designator symbol it would allow the staging person to stage faster and be more exact on the edge of the rail. Not to mention clean the top of the car. (no stickers, no marks)

Note: the paper is a cut piece of shipping label.

You need to let go of it dude!

lol Kinser, I'm not like that! I'm an Idea guy, the brain never stops! I look for improvements on everything. I back the NPWDRL 110% and I only want it to succeed and grow.

I thought we were already supposed to put the staging letter near the back on the DFW side so it is easy to see when the car is placed on the sloped starting line.

I believe 5kids says to put a staging Letter on a sticker next to the DFW. I'm thinking this would help the Stager to have all the info in one spot and decrease the ambiguity of the mark on top. (also cleaning up the top)

If you cut that wing off the back of the car it will have an instant improvement.

On a side note I have never put staging instructions on my car. The standard stage has always worked.

ya, it was only for looks/fun!

Do you have your own track? With mine 1/16" would change the times somewhat.

I do have a track, I started proxy racing in late 2009. Staging is just something I've never worried about at a NPWDRL event. The best in the world are lining up the cars at the start gate. I've taken this year off but I'm really trying to motivate myself to build a BASX car. I like everything about that class. Hope to be back on the track soon.
