How important is aerodynamics when using the Lexan bodies? I was wondering if any of the current builders that are using the dragster bodies have tested any of the less aerodynamic bodies using what the design and prep they are currently using.I enjoy watching the class and would like to get into the class but was wondering if the the other bodies could be competitive.

Go to above, look at Drag Cars.
Try TR5164, TR5298, TR5193 OR TR161. Leave off any engine extensions, or anything that would retrict air flow, and put fenders on the rear wheels. If you don't cover the wheels, it's the same as a SS w/o fenders.
That might work. The bodies only cost $5, so if they turn out too long, no big loss.

However, almost any of the funny cars will work.
Best bodies would allow 25% of the wheels to extend outside the body, with a very tight wheel well and a bottom to retrrict any air from entering the body cavity.
All these bodies are super light, much lighter than the required Pinewood platform. When making the platform, remove all unnecessary wood, glue a 164th bottom to the platform, and load the weight to the back.
