Strength vs weight placement

Routing out the weight pockets is leaving the corners rounded-should I leave em or square em up?
 
Drill an 1/8 pilot hole in the just outside the corners first.
Or use a razor blade just as you have done.

Some of the dremel bits allow you to square the corners too. I think they are either some type of milling bit or they're deburring bits that are about the same. I think a 1/8 rounter bit in a dremel would work too. I tried routing my pockets with the 1/8 bits and they sometimes broke off. The 1/16 router bits really square off the corners, but i broke them frequently. I like the idea of just drilling the pilot holes. It sounds easy and accurate.
 
Would beefing up the axle strut with CA glue where the weight touches be a good thing to do, watched a video where a thin veneer was glued on each side. Overkill or not a bad idea?
