Since there is a possibility that John will run a couple needle races next year I would like to offer some Teflon coated wire for those of you willing to give it a try. I believe I have .025” and .0225” wire at home. I have used both of these sizes and they will run very well and within .001-.005 of my fastest cars. They may even run faster, but I have never switched out my axles on my fastest cars to see. I know I said that the natural runs faster for me, but that may be because of the car set-up, wheel bores, wheels, alignment, etc.. It is really hard to tell. I know that I could have been just as successful with these sizes. If I had any .024” left I would give that out too, but I don’t have any left. You can buy the .024” here: http://www.mcmaster.com/#coated-wire/=kgk35t and if you want natural I believe they will special order it for you, but I don’t think that is necessary.
