A big thanks needs to go out to John & his products. John’s MA wheels, the Dynasty line of speed axles & RR were a big part of my sons win at Mid America this last weekend. I used the same products on my adult oil car & placed second to non other than Joel (QuickTime derby) Redfearn. Thanks John!!!
What a pleasant experience it was for my son & I from building the cars & then actually flying to the event in Omaha. My son had a great time there with everything put in place to entertain the kids. The LEGO room & Hot Wheels track were awesome! I almost couldn’t pull him away to come watch his cars race! Lol! He also made a couple new friends, Brody & Gaven Harrington (the Skywalker kids) I was able to meet a few of the pro racers for the first time as well, B-Regal Ed! Bracket Racer, team Marciano, Iceman, Greg Dawes along with racers I’ve met at MOTM, Scott, Brian, Andy, Joel, Todd, what a great group of guys! This was our first race at Mid America & are already planning for next year!

The 5th scout in the open scout oil class was also running on DD4H's MA cut wheels, albeit they were purchased one year ago. I got to see the new cut (stiffer running surface, better for traditional mounting) and I am a bit envious. A few more sets are coming to me in the near future...

ah crap! Looks like we will be up against Ballistic next year too! haha Congrats Ballistic - we knew we weren't gonna catch you guys. My son Weston was also running DD4H wheels! Thanks John! Weston got 2nd in Open Scout oil class for Bears and Officially 4th on the print out in the finals (unofficially 3rd- based on the actual numbers)

Made the finals in Kid's Open Graphite the last 2 years using DD4H wheels, axles and graphite.
Sent my first pro class car equipped with DD4H axles/wheels/oil in to the Nationals as well, a BASX (Pure Stock, I think it was called?) and I thought it did okay for the first time out. .004 from making the finals. One bad run cost me that spot, so I'm not complaining. Got a ways to go to catch Hurricrane, though.

Curious what you mean here by "unofficially." Was there an error? Did you factor in the slowest time being dropped?

We noticed an error in Webelos, but it was corrected in the final posted results.

Well so when I was watching the races live I was recording the times of my sons car and the closest competitors and based on the numbers I wrote down he got 3rd place overall - we dropped the slowest times of all the racers and took the avg. So I was a little surprised during the awards ceremony live when they announced him tied for 4th?? I was confused so I watched the race again and then again haha and took down the numbers and we got third. So then I thought well maybe they based it off the rounded off numbers or something but that didnt add up either. So after greg posted the results I looked again thinking maybe one of the times was switched to accomodate and error in a wrong lane or something and the results posted were the exact numbers I wrote down and still didnt add up. So I even did the numbers by the MPH and we still got third. The numbers for the scout that got third were the only ones that didnt seem to be calculated correctly - my sons times were correct and the scouts times that got 1st and 2nd and 4th were correct. It honestly isnt a big deal and we are stoked to have finished so well and my son is so excited to get his trophies! I was just surprised and I like things to add up and make sense haha! Maybe somebody can do the numbers as well so I know Im not crazy. Starting to question my abilities in math haha

The Mid-America Facebook site announced an issue with four different car's times that they are sorting out.
I believe it was one of the Scout divisions

thank you for bringing that to my attention - I looked at the facebook page and they announced that the graphite open scout had an error so I wrote a message about the Oil open scout division as well.

I spoke with Greg yesterday & there is an error on the open scout graphite final standings. They are sorting it out as we speak & will let everyone know as soon as they figure it out. I’ve double & triple checked each boys standing results & it appears that the posted results are correct.

I saw they were making changes to the graphite final standings - just thought they could correct the scout open oil standings too since they were already going through the trouble. It would just be switching 3rd and 4th place in the final standings. We got our trophies and everything in the mail and there's no way I would try to make the third place scout give back his trophy or make anyone go through the trouble of shipping these big trophies.

Greg and I spoke this morning and this came up. He has the guy who actually wrote the software looking into why this happened. Meanwhile they are working to take good care of all affected parties and I'm very confident all will be happy with the outcome. These guys are first class; I continue to be impresssd at every turn.

I agree! I just talked with and met Greg on the phone for the first time the other day and I can tell he is an awesome guy!
