Guys,
I have learned more here in the last 6-7 weeks than I did in the previous 3 years looking on-line. That says a tremendous amount about the caliber of the knowledge that has gathered here at this site!
It also speaks volumes about the willingness of the people here that are willing to share that knowledge and experience! Especially with rookie Scout dads.
The combined kindness that you all have shown is almost overwhelming ...there is no way that I can ever repay everyone for the sharing that you have done. That kindness has allowed my son and I to spend quality time together building his car. Only time will tell if we have more success or not, but my confidence level is MUCH higher that we will do better. I know for sure that we can live up to the Scout motto and say "we did our best".
Again, I am confident that our best is a significant improvement over where we would have been had we not found this site or if everyone had not shared so willingly!
Thank you again for helping to make positive memories for my son and helping to teach him that being persistent and hard work pay off.
I promise to give a summary once districts arrive. Until then, please bear with us as I am sure we will have a few more questions for everyone.
