The Hub Rub remedy

so i put the sally hanson on the side of my car and let it sit for a long time and then went to see how it felt when it was dry and it felt rubbery and still kinda soft - i could put my finger nail mark in it. I sanded it with 1500 first and felt it again - still pretty soft relative to the hard clear coat on the uncoated surface. I have lacquer and a clear coat that is really hard and then i put the sally hanson on that. Am I doing something wrong? Any thoughts cramjet?

I never used the Sally Hanson polish, so I don't know how it behaves but do you have a UV light? Put it outside with that part facing the sun for a couple hours around noon and try again. As long as it doesn't get wet the fresh air and sun should help it cure and harden. At least that's what I would do.

Okay thanks I will try that. I may try some things out on a test piece of wood - in a spot on bare wood and then on just bare paint without the clear coat to see if it is just not setting up right because of the clear coat or something. May just have to use CA glue but I bought this stuff cuz everyone said it was the bomb.
