Gentlemen of the fourm,
I posted about a week ago under the following post. First time racer tiger cub. Week to go just looking for some speed help. Based on all your guys help My tiger cub wound up in Third place got a trophy and is headed to the district race in about a month. We had a real tight competition. Last years pack winner also won the district. He come out on top again but it was super close. Four runs total time for my guy was 11.7012(average of 2.9253, he posted a fastest of a 2.9174(I think 2.91 for sure) The track I think is a forty foot one and its wood. Since this was our first time these seem like really good times but I really don't know. I do know districts looks promising. My guy says to me can we make the car faster? So its back to the drawing board and seeing what we can do for districts. Based on the times tonight all the top 4 cars were faster then last years district winner(which again was from our pack)
So I am back to the drawing board. For those of you on the other thread I have a lot to fix. Matched wheels I had 6's and 7's for front and back. I did run the wheels in the slots and I did have it rail running but the rear axels were straight. HIs center of mass was off. like 1.5 inches or more infront of rear axel. So I think we got some things to improve. I m hoping we can get faster and do even better at district. We learned a lot about friction, physics, three wheel running and rail running and kinetic energy. etc. More importantly myself and two sons got to spend some time together and have a great night. btw I raced in the adult race and was first going away. I was also faster then the pack champion but I did get beat by the pack champs sister. We run a sibling race and a parent race for fun as well.
Mainly a HUGE THANK TO EVERYONE ON HERE. Without your knowledge and help I don't think we would have placed where we did. I have to encourage anyone to do these races we have had 34 kids racing tonight and I don't think there was one kid who didn't have a great night a lot of laughs fun and good times racing.
Thanks again
