I really don't understand what it does ... but there is no denying the results. So I think I'll start experimenting with it myself. Couple questions though for you guys that run these ...

1. I'm assuming you drill the angle. You must cut the axle short right?
2. Do you use a guide pin too?
3. Any gotchas to look out for?

Thanks!

I'm interested as well.
I made one on My last car but do not know all the tricks. I made a base to lay my car on that held it at 45 deg for drilling. I had to cut the axle shorter but looking back now I'm sure it could have been cut down even more to remove weight.
When I asked this question a few indicated to use a guide pin. I would love to hear it's not needed for more weight reduction.

I don't run a guide pin... And I drill my fronts the same height.. I bend my axles to make the degree I want with the 45 degree will... Be careful.. There's more to just putting a fender at the angle you want... I messed with my BLACKJACK car today and found about 5 thousands.. Which should put it around a 72-73 at johns. I also found a lot if speed with BADLUV.. Then I built a new car which I won't reveal yet, and still faster than both of them..

Interesting. Any trouble on the stop section without the guide pin? That's where my cars typically have trouble without a wheel or guide pin. They slide off the side of the stop rail.

Can you get the axle in and out of the wheel when it has a 45degree bend?

I usually just leave the wheel with the car ... Cause once u been the and try to straighten it to take it out of the wheels it will break. My new car I just built a few days ago is a 45 degree maybe a little less and it's 4-5 thousand faster than any SS I've ever had. I changed the wheel base on my new car.. I never have any issue in the stop section.. I have (4) 45 degree cars and in not sure that's there a big speed difference. It does disturb the are thought. I have standard 4 fenders cars just as fast... My new car has wooden fenders.. And it's shaped to cover more
