I talked to Corvid-

as a way to say thank you for all the good times and speed tips, he wants to share a spray he tested and used that he feels may have a place in this hobby.

It's called "Mo-deck" and can be found at a John Deere supplier- he claims it was just as fast as jig(for him) and user friendly. His last 3 cars had it and were a tad faster than before.

He also feels that trumpet valve oil may be worth looking into due to a very low viscosity but so far test results have not been successful. He tries Ultra Pure synthetic and it slowed but it might work as a viscosity modifier?

Hope the spray works for at least somebody out there in derbyland,

Tried that back in the winter... Didn't see and speed difference between it and JIG.. Glad to know someone is going out on a limb and trying stuff like I have and am. It does work.. I just haven't tried it with all waxes.. What I been messing with lately seems to be working ok so I'm happy.. Far as dry time I let it dry for a hour.. Just to be on the safe side.. It's really slick and beads up the oil good.

DOG!!!

Good to see you again!!!

Dang! It was getting downright boring around here without you.

You leave me here to fend off these animals!

Benji and his PWD crew have been pranking me horribly in your absence.

You are just in time!! I am starting a new fraternal PWD lodge and we could use a veteran like you.

The Knights Templar of the PWD

What do you think?

Trumpet valve oil!!??? LOL

Man! How do you come up with this stuff!?

You made my day!

Thanks for posting about/for him, Nic's Dad.

I will miss him at this next race... Our big blue Dodges were a formidable air-pushing force together. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

I hope to see him here again soon.

Huge thanks for the support!

Corvids a lot like an outdoor cat, might disappear for lengths at a time for various reasons but there's a good chance of an eventual return unless a coyote or bobcat eats him.

$8 at tractor supply. Never thought about using it for PWD. I've used something similar on my mower and snow blower chute before too. Can't get jig locally so I may try it out. Thanks for sharing Corvid.

Low viscocity for cold weather ODD. Duh

looking at the MOTM standings, it must be said, please let WK' car (16th) race SS pro at the big race instead of Corvids car(13th)- WK had 1 bad month and just barely missed the top 15 yet Corvid barely made it.. Only seems fair.. Besides, WK was ranked #1 a few months ago and it's only a matter of time before he regains that status, if someone is going to become a SS pro National Champion, they are going to have to earn it and WK is definitely one of the fastest around!!

Same goes for SP- if you want to race AC and take Corvids spot, have at er! I got a gut feeling if you take that spot you'll end up top 4 that day.

The faster car will always win I agree with but what was meant was, since only the top 15 builders in each class advance,
WK would then be #15 in SS and will be able to race finals.

16-25 bracket?
wasn't aware of the change but the idea of a larger field sounds cool. Well, glad to see it all work out.
