First, I am the proud new owner of a 42ft best track. Took me about 10min of trials to figure out you can roll a car down a tuning board all you want but you need a track if you want to know what tweaks makes a car faster (no real surprise).
In any case, deciding on if I should polish the track. There are multiple threads dating back years with a variety of opinions and thought I would post again for an updated and consolidated point of view. Basic options from my reading include:
* Don't polish and wet sand at 2000 grit (DD4H)
* Use Mothers (some say it is hard to get all the polish off)
* Eagle One Nevr-Dull Wadding polish first and then Mothers Billet
* Use Dry Wash over wadding polishes
Guess my preference is not to polish if it isn't really needed. I will of course sand the joints either way, etc..... less polishing more racing....
