I wish I had found this forum years ago when my boys were making Pinewood Derby cars. We did pretty well but would have done much better if we had all you folks on our side via this forum. Now I am working with my grandsons. Even though I am 70, I find that this activity is very good for stimulating the mind, connecting with children and grandchildren, and helps nourish the urge to compete. My cars this year did well in the open class at our church. All of us need a little fun in life.

that is why I do it. FUN. Still searching for the speed but that is what makes it fun.

Keep up the search! The cool thing is the folks here and all their research will help you FIND it! My son's and daughter's cars absolutely dominated our Awana Grand Prix last weekend. All from just learning whats up from these guys. Such a difference to be seen with what these guys are doing to the cars these days. Now the sights are set on stepping up to the NPWDRL series that goes all year I am THAT hooked. Serious FUN and stimulation indeed. The live feed from the thread at the front page from the championships is great to watch. They are down now but I think there might be more to come yet today if you want to watch. AND the cool thing is all the different classes to build and run in for all levels of skill.

Welcome back to the fun Charles!!! :D

As another old grandpa, I can assure you that this hobby will definitely "stimulate" your mind ALOT!!! Along with your time, wallet, and sanity;)
