Track Options and Recommendations

It sounds like Best Track is everyone's favorite and I'm sure there is a reason for it; but, is there a decent less expensive option? If you get a 35' Best with their timer you are at about a grand. I'd like to see if you car get a two lane set-up with timer for $500-$600 - any chance this is doable. Is there a less expensive timer that will fit on the Best.

What is the most desirable track set-up to folks if one were to eventually sell it.

It seems like you almost have to have a test track if you want ot build a competitive car on your own.

If you are handy with tools and fabrication, get the Microwizard K-1 kit for $60 with all of the computer options.

while many of us have our own tracks, i spent last year getting my butt kicked buy guys who only had a tuning board.....
the best track is most if not all the leagues choice. ya its expensive, i got the 3 lane 42' 2 years ago and it set me back $1200.

I just bought a best track for two reasons. First the quality and second if you look at used ones they aren't much cheaper than new ones so you know you will get a decent resale price if ever needed. As far as timersI will have to wait and get my own but until then i am enjoying our pack's timer. I will probably buy a microwizard when the time comes.

If you want state of the art I'd go with Best Track and Microwizard K3 Timer. Nothing else comes close.

i have to agree, when i got my track i bought a Champ timer from Best track. it was a good timer, but i needed to upgrade to the Microwizard K3 Grand prix package to maintain consistency within the league.
