I am in the process of building a "pit cart" for my church's Awana group. I will post pics when completed. It's 7.5 ' long , 30" wide and 42" tall. It is built to store our 42' best track. Butcher block top. All steel construction that rides on chrome skinny golf cart wheels. We hope to powder coat it red with vinyl graphics. It should be plenty big enough to house the track, kits, computer, timer, and still have room for more. I would like to know how you guys store your tracks?

i store mine in the living room in a corner, cant put it "away", as i need it every month for tuning.

That's funny because that's where mine is too, for the same reason.

Yep, totally dead serious. I purchased the chrome 4 lug trailer wheels and tires from harbor freight. The axle is a modified ez-go golf cart front axle. The rear axle, hubs and tie downs are from northern tool. I purchased the butcher block from Perfect plank. It's 30"x 90" with three coats of spar urithane. The finished height should be 42". I hope to powder coat it red. I'm donating it to the Awana club at my church to store the track and all the grand prix equipment.

I wrap the 7' track pieces in thick moving blankets from U-Haul and stand put them in a wardrobe box (about 5' tall) from U-Haul. It sits in the corner of the basement.

The start gate decline and transition I leave set up (off to the side in the basement), because it is such a pain to redo.

It should be able to be loaded with a harbor freight motorcycle ramp. It will have heavy duty tie downs so I guess it could be winched.
