My 6 year old Tiger Scout recently competed in his 1st PWD race and placed 2nd out of 9 cars and we had an awesome time. My brother-in-law ran a outlaw car and now I have the bug to build one for next year. With all the fluff on the web where is a solid 1 stop place for PWD cars from basics on up?

What specific items (axle, body, weight) would you recommend if one plans to spend $100.00 on items to build a outlaw derby excluding items to prep the wheel and axles? Race track we use in N TX is wooden.

What is a good reputable source to purchase PWD parts along with solid customer service?

This is PWD heaven and now that you got the bug, put a chain on your wallet its going to get fast and furious after you really get hooked. Rule 1 ask lots of question, because we love it. And yes DD4H is the place you want if you want the best.

Hey Choo Choo, as someone who's only been on the forum for the last year, I can tell you that there's no place like this forum. Everyone is super helpful and the DD4H parts are top notch. I had picked up various items in prior years from other vendors and unfortunately it wasn't always money well spent. The openess of the racers, like 5Kids, is unbelievable. You should find everything you need here.

Last year when I was helping my boy build his car the same bug bit me. I started sending cars into the NPWDRL and have really enjoyed racing in this league. I only mention this because if you have the bug you don't have to wait until next year, you can start racing with the league now. (No pressure just letting you know that there are year around racing opportunities.)
