Used track pricing

What is a good price on this used Best Track I found? It's a 42' 4-lane with a micro wizard k2 time.

This is a very tough question to answer without seeing the track condition first. I have seen/heard of tracks that are nearly new (2 yrs old) that were practically trash because the Pack that bought it didn't care for it properly, or put it together correctly. If it were me, I wouldn't buy a track unless I could inspect it first.

If you had some photos, maybe comments could be made on those.

Good Luck.

I saw one on Ebay for $300, but man it could be all jacked up, you never know.

Ok, you asked for it, you get it. I bought a 35' 2-lane Besttrack sight unseen from Craigslist with a K-1 timer for ....$250. My assumptions were correct that it needed work. I added a lane to it, lift and level kit, extra stop section, solenoid start, and a 4-lane K-1 timer kit.

In addition, I polished that track from one end to the other. It needed it badly. The new lane was polished as well. The track ran very well from end to end. Would I do it again? Yep. I helped polished and reset a track for a local Pack. Talk about abused. The track glistened after we were done. Of course, it did help to reset the angles on the track.

My advice is to consider your time when purchasing. For me, I took great pleasure in prepping a professional style track for the Pack. The look on the parents faces when they saw it was priceless. Oh yeah, I donated the whole shooting match to the Pack. They told me to store it for them as it was too nice to trust in the shed. Heh, Test n tune!!!!
