Derby dad is sold out and I am looking to buy two of the 2oz TXW tungsten bars that he sells. If you have one or two extra send me a pm. Thanks

Still looking for at least one of these blocks that derby dad is sold out of. Any help would be great. I don't care if it is been cut out of a car that wasn't good enough to race. Thanks in advance!

Are you just looking for the 2.1 oz. bars? The 2 oz. bars are still in stock at the link above.... Sold by the same person TxChemist.

I am looking for the 2.1 oz bars. Do have any connections where I can get at least one or two? Thanks

You are asking the right question in one of the right places.... If someone has a couple they are willing to sell you I am sure they would contact you, but my guess is no one has any they want to sell. Most of the buyers are probably league racers that want that extra weight and they probably aren't will to give up theirs. I am sure DD4H and TXchemist are rushing a new order along to fill demand.

You can get the 2.1’s off eBay. I just emailed TXchemist directly and he sent me a PayPal invoice...super easy and fast, free shipping.

Thanks guys I got some off txchemist couple weeks ago when they came in. I appreciate all the help and ideas. Now to finish building the cars.

I’m curious. Why are the 2.1oz bars superior to the 2.0oz? Why are the solid blocks better than the individual small cubes?

Is 2.1 oz too much to put behind the wheel? I thought 1.8oz was optimal (from what I read on this forum). Or is that “optimal” weight a misunderstanding on my part?

Depends on wheelbase.... extended with rears 5/8" from back 2.1 is fine.... standard BSA block wheelbase I wouldn't put more than 1.8ish..

A lot of factors like wheel/axle alignment, wheelbase, and overall weighting factor in.

My son's car had the 2.1 block behind the rear. I put 2 cubes in the middle of the car due to uncertainty on weight displacement but after the race I feel we could have left it back just in front of the rear axles.

*Standard BSA wheelbase*
