Wet Sanding

When working on the joints on my track I did some wet sanding to make sure the joints were smooth. I didn't want to ruin any wheels. Where I did the wet sanding the track is smooth as glass. I'm currently thinking about wet sanding the entire track because I like how smooth it is on the joints.
My concern is if it will be so smooth that I end up needing more steer on my track than others. I was thinking it could help with the life of my wheels when tuning. Has anyone done this? Any thoughts or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Only thing I can tell you about wet sanding is that it cuts very fast and to be careful how you are sanding the aluminum with your fingers as you could possibly sand what we call in the automotive paint world "Finger Marks" or the grooves of your fingers if sanded in the wrong direction. As fast as these cars run down the track it could make a difference...Just my worthless thoughts...

You might consider just polishing with a aluminum wheel polish instead of sanding.
