On a more serious note and not quoting Conan the Barbarian this time...

I've always enjoyed scratch building things out of wood. I'm trying to stick build the ultimate body design that is as light as possible but also as stiff as possible. The flexibility of some chassis just blows me away and they are fast too - that just defies all logic to me as it seems that the flex would allow steering toe in/out changes at the transition. I've always thought that is where the wiggle comes from after the transition. I've been through many iterations and am narrowing it down to something that seems to work well for BASX, Street Stock, Eliminator. Unlimited design might be a different story though due to the incredibly low weight of the current body designs.

I also just branched off the usual body design to make something that is more aerodymanic and addresses one of the major aero deficiencies of our cars. The back end. I'm not breaking new ground here as most of the guys that I chat with have been down this road before but it's new and exciting for me while in the shop tinkering around and getting the occasional flash of brilliance (that doesn't happen often enough).

Just enjoying testing out new things and ideas to make the cars faster.

My goal is to improve over time. It'll take a year or so to test out all of the things that interest me in designs but that's the fun... isn't it?

I can see Fumbles as a major player in the coming races. You ain't fooling me Fumbles, you call it tinkering, I saw the body you made on Zeebs pod cast. You got skills man, and you build them quickly.
