When I painted I used the Duplicolor primer filler. No sealer or anything.

i want to wet sand the car, but it soaks up the water..i wanna seal so i can wet sand it after paint

I've wet sanded every car that I've used the primer filler on. I just make sure to get enough coats on it first. I've even went through the primer to the wood, let it dry out, prime it again and wet sand again.

Looks like it'll take a while, but the end result looks great!

One of the things I like about the primer filler is it seals, fills and primes all in one step. This car was done with primer filler.

It really just depends on what you really want your car to look like and how much work you are willing to put into it. This one was done with professional automotive grade products. What you see that looks like wood grain is actually candy paint there is absolutely not wood grain showing and this is an actual block from the BSA kit.

Nice job there Chief! It still looks wet.... or is it? J/K Nice paint work! Speaking of candy paint I just picked up some candy apple red with silver base for my SR. I was looking for some gold base but I did not find any at Hobby Lobby. Silver will be alright, I'm going to paint a test piece to see how it looks.

No its not wet anymore...that was done in 2011. The paint work is the easy part...its the go fast part thats killing me!!!! I am with Kinser and some others and not spending the time and efforts on painting for a while...I NEED speeeeeed...Give me some SPEEEEEEED!!! so its crayons and sharpies for me too!!!

GX if you spray flat black down first then the silver it will look 100 times richer
