Ok, I am looking at wheels, assuming all things are equal as far as the car goes adn you do nothing but switch out the wheels why would I choose one over the other when it says one type is quicker than the other.

Example

cheetah .06 over stock weighs 2 grams
cheetah extreme .08 over stock 1.7-1.8 grams
nitro's .06 over stock 1.3 grams
lightspeed .07 over stock 1 gram

I understand that rules my not allow some but if that is not a factor why would a 1 gram wheel that only gets me .07 average over stock be better than a 1.7-1.8 gram that gets me .08 average over stock. Or for more comparioson a 1.3 gram that is average .02 slower than the 1.7-1.8. I am not understnading the advantages of some of these.

Our rules state that the surface that touches the track must be left flat and be at least 1/4" wide.

I understand that the lighter the wheel the better, I raced real cars and that is very important but I am not understanding the fact that the lighter wheels are not always as fast as the heavier wheels. Also are the cheetah the only ones legal for street stock and street rod. Are the rest good for street pro? I am looking to make a purchase soon.

I don't think the web site has been updated. The machining process has changed and the cheetah's are cnc'ed. I know that the new intimidator's are faster than the old ones solely do to cutting process. Tell John what you can run and he will get you the best that fit into your rules.
