Whats a fast

I dont think John's intention was for this class to be entry level as much as an economic class for people. It is the cheapest class to get into.
Which is why I chose to concentrate more on SS Am than BASX. Sure the build are a little more complicated (fenders, but not needed to race in the SS class) and slightly more costly (wheels, but BASX wheels also qualify for the SS class), but I'm not ready to run with the big dogs yet. The top racres in the BASX class would have been mid pack to top10 in the SS Am class, which means the skill level of the builders is higher there than the SS Am. I'm just trying to run with the puppies first in whatever class they race in...

For now...

U can't compare the time that W&K ran at Zeezobs track with johns track.. There is a times difference ... W&K car would be like a high 88-91 at johns.. Right where my BASX car I sold was running

I would say Blackeye should be a good comparison since I understand that car went from John's to Zeeb's untouched. Blackeye ran as fast as 2.9899 already at John's and Black Motor is obviously faster. Unfortunately, we won't see Black Motor run on a 42' track at the Nationals so we'll never know for sure how fast it is since it would probably be reprepped before the fall races.

I would say that Zeeb's track was well prepared and we know that it runs a tad quicker than John's at the same length but the correction factor posted should take that into account. Many racers are able to use a track correction factor to compare two different tracks as long as you have a car that has ran on both tracks untouched.

Did anyone else send a car to John's and Zeeb's without making a change? Just for my own curiosity I'd like to see what they ran for comparison.

My BASX car went to Zeeb's unchanged from John's last race. Per Andy's information, my car ran on a more humid day, times showed a slower pace by .006 - .008. Based upon that information, my BASX could have finished in fourth place.
