Where to purchase trophies online.

This year I will be sponsoring our scout derby and buying the trophies for 1st - 6th place, outlaw class winner, and our build category winners. I have purchased from trophydepot.com a couple times before and what I got was what I ordered, price was fair, build quality was fairly cheap. Does anyone build trophies out of metal anymore?

Just curious to hear where you guys prefer to order from online.

I've purchased trophies from dinntrophy.com crownawards.com and k2awards.com for a sports league with a cheap budget in mind. Crown Awards had the fastest turnaround I think I ordered 400 trophies/medals on a Wednesday and they were at my door on Friday. All of them were plastic with a marble base except for the medals.

I am actually in the process of trying to build my own trophies. I have a guy at a counter top shop make stone bases and columns. The topper I am still trying to figure out but I am thinking 2 spark plugs in a V and a wrench across or a hot wheels car. That will sit on a large nut or some kind of spocket and attached to the column. I have another guy who owns a lawnmower and motorcycle shop to save some dead spark plugs.

Young Star, that is a cool Idea. I think I'll copy you for our cub race. Last year I made stands that held the cars as trophies. I'll post a pic.

Here is the trophy topper and base I am slowly getting together. Had a few hiccups with the gold paint but I think I figured out the process for the remaining 3.
