Well considering that you ran under the 2.973 cutoff in all four races in the MOTM series, I would be surprised if your cars don't run under that threshold here in January.
As for myself, I had cars run 2.9764 and 2.9794 in December, just above that 2.973 cutoff. Both cars have been tweaked and sent in with cautious optimism of running under 2.973 sec. I guess my goal is to continue to beat my own prior results and be d**ned with how that stacks me up against all other entrants.
One SS runs fairly good for an AM builder; I believe the other to be a monokote twisted special. The two BASX cars are fair (one from last season fo comparison). But I believe I understand my built faults and hopelly will have it correected for the next race in Feb. Also have an SR in the skunkworks but its not ready yet.
I have 1 BSAX and 3 SS. All from last season and with no or very little re-prep. Scout builds and a new track are consuming me. I hope to have at least 2 new builds for next race.

[/QUOTE] That's a great approach to have. I too am cautiously optimistic with the new cars. Just hoping to duplicate my times from last month. That would be a huge win by itself no matter what position I finish. That being said, I'm expecting the Pros to serve me a huge helping of Humble Pie! Good luck to everyone!
It's my first NPWDRL race. I sent one SS. Hoping not to embarrass myself. I'm hoping to get a base line to work from. I really appreciate the help I've received from builders here. Looking forward to the race. What time should I tune in to the live link from NPWDRL site?
I would like to send out a huge welcome to the new racers! You picked a great time to start at the first of the year and the first of a new series.
As I was told when I started last year, and probably the best advice I received...enjoy the climb, the time when you are learning and seeing improvements along the way. Its probably the most fun part, its just different after you get the mindset of trying to eek out improvements and hold on where you are! LOL
Good luck to everyone and welcome to the new racers...itll be a lot of fun!
I sent in 1 Basx, 1 SS, 1 SP, 1 Elim, and 1 Unlim......made a hard decision to not run SR this series....at least until I find a fun car model that I want to make....
