Work Tables

I was looking thru Model Airplane internet sights. There was a post on Work Tables.
It said buy a piece of glass. Have the edges dulled. Use it for anything that uses glue or other like substances. I bought a piece of rejected 1/4 inch glass and put it on my table.
After gluing, especially CA, or other liquid or savvy substances, it really totally cleans great.
On CA, I just use a flat edge Exacto (or similar) blade, and the residue is gone in a second.
Other stuff cleans great with water or alcohol, depending on the substance.

The next thing I am going to try is to see if it would work with spray paint. I will try a bit on my small piece of glass, and if it works, I will buy a larger piece for my paint table.

I've been in the glass business for the past 15 years. A straight razor blade will clean residue off of glass like a champ, including paint.

You can use some diluted acetone with a razor blade on paint as well.

Been thinking of doing the same to my work bench. It could double as a tuning board then.

As far as cleaning overspray off the table, it would be cheaper and faster to use some cheap paper and throw it away, when it got to dirty...just roll it up and put it in the garbage. You dont have to be careful not to get cut and dont have to use or waste Xpensive chemicals...
