Why do you think allowing bent axles is such a point of discussion? I know it’s much easier to get a car to rail ride by bending an axle to control steering, whereas forcing a straight axle while allowing it to be canted to the body takes much more precision and is really hard to do. We have this rule to help level the playing field for the, umm, shall we say less fanatical?

Unlike some of the other races around the country, the NYC race is really geared towards the average Scout and gives latitude to some minor enhancements. It's the reason we have just two classes; stock and pro-stock.

This doesnt level the playing field at all. It mkes it much more unlevel. The ones that can drill them properly destroy the ones that cant. You have to have special tooling to drill them or you have to buy a drilled block. ANYONE can bend an axle.

Graphite only is ridiculous. There is NO ARGUMENT that can justify that. The same people still win.

Make the rules so you arent tearing cars apart before the race. If you tear one car down then you have to be prepared to tear the rest down. It will speed up your tech in too. Steal the rules from some our league races and make it easy on yourself and more fun for everyone building the cars. The point is to go FAST not slow everyone down.
