    Soooo this doesnt happen every time but way more than i like....i drill my unmolested blocks, check my holes for a good drill... then start to thin them down and shape my blocks into a ladder design (this ONLY happens on ladder designs) ...anyway....after all the thinning and hollowing and so...

    Good point! I had overlooked that the front wheel as well as the rear steer wheel would be pinned on the rail as well...that would add a whole lot of friction

    Anyone ever thought of or tried experimenting with a rear steer car? (Like a forklift) i ask because i was thinking it would somewhat make sense...youd need far less steering input to keep a car agaist the rail and the steering wheels would have far more weight on them meaning the steering...

    The only photo i have of my dads car is before the wheels were added....all the lettering as well as the P.O.W. emblem were hand painted....they are not decals.....the electronic circut i cant show you either because its now glued inside the car... but its a simple circut that goes as follows...

    I decided to also enter one of my other cars in case my Electric Slide had mechanical failure...the results were 1st and third place........my 82 year old dad came home with 4th as well as a best in show trophy....it was a great day at the track and some cool hardware.

    This race is tomorrow afternoon and heres what i ended up with in the end...just thought id share....inside is hiding a miro magnetic switch, a 20000 rpm electric motor direct drive to the wheels, an arming switch, and a 12 volt batery all comming in at a cool 2.9 oz total....what a fun project!

    I dont go to that extreme ...i just use three coats of clear... wait days for it to dry and cure then use pledge...but the important thing is to have fun with it
