    PWD World Championship Post Mortem

Looks like we must have had bad deal of the day. Where do I start.........? First our car was flagged for not using original slots, only 3 wheels touching and wheels not to size. After showing the people we were in the "pro stock class" and everything is to those specs, they said to send it...

Drilling degreed hole for steer wheel

We had to change up his car as well. In order to follow the “no bent axles” we filled the hole with a toothpick and wood glue. Re-sanded it, re cleared and polished the side. Drilled the cant and tow. Using a Straight BSA axle, I’m getting the exact steer I was looking for. Ran a few test...

Drilling degreed hole for steer wheel

The NYC Championship race. They just sent out an FAQ and it now states no bent axles. We put a ton of work into his car theme and not really interested in making a new one. Nor do I think we have enough time to reproduce the paint theme. I have an old car I can attempt drilling different...

Drilling degreed hole for steer wheel

I’m sure someone has figured this out and what degree for increments of steer. The rule I’m trying to work around states no bent axles. They allow 3 wheel touch but recently excluded bent axles, which basically takes away the ability to steer the car. I’m hoping someone has tested drilling the...

Too early for scout car prep

Thanks everyone, he’s really pumped about this year. He new he wanted chameleon paint, and exactly what he wanted the graphics to look like. Dad just helped him execute his vision. SuperSlow, the wheelbase is 4.75. The rear is drilled .75 from the rear of the car, front is 1.5 from the...

    Track angle VS weight placement

This question has been bugging me for awhile. At my sons pack we purchased a nice Best track a few years ago. We built his car accordingly. But our district runs a wooden track and the starting angle is quite a bit less than the best track he qualified on. I know aluminum VS wood are two...

Who is Ready for the Mid America Pinewood Derby 2017 - updated

Just curious how long it takes to receive the cars etc back? NOT rushing or pushing in any way , my son just asked and I didn't have an answer for him. I gave him the old "not sure, maybe a week or two" :D We watched most of the day. I must say, very well organized and great job to everyone...

    Vender No Response, what now?

This is true, I could give more bend to the DFW, which now is 3*. I can bend the raised wheel axle and glue to ensure non movement. Right now the body is drilled with the wrong cant, like this if looking at the rear of the body \ / flipping it would give me the correct cant like this / \...

    Vender No Response, what now?

Pretty cool you are stepping in to help out. If it is the case that they are no longer in business, I don't want to put the burden on you as it is only $15.

    Vender No Response, what now?

Yes the body is 1/4". I ordered it pre-drilled for my axles. If you flip the body over to correct the cant, the raised wheel is now lower than the rest of the wheels. There is no room to re-drill the raised wheel. Hope that helped as I don't have the pictures on my computer only on my phone.

    Vender No Response, what now?

Ya, like $15 total. Not the end of the world. I like the body a lot, I might give the tooth picks a try and see how it goes. Thanks.
