    Rear wheel cant a must?

wow. I’ve never heard of cleaning the wheels before a race. Great to know. I’m using John’s BSAx axles and I’m super impressed with quality. That’s why I’m so hesitant to bend them myself. I’ll try my best to get the rear camber I need with stock grooves. Cub Scout motto and all. *after much...

    Rear wheel cant a must?

Sawing the grooves and using straight axles sounds like a solid option. I really don’t want have to bend those rears and dial them in.

    Rear wheel cant a must?

Here’s my question. Due to council rules, we must use the stock axle grooves and keep 4 on the floor. I have finished my axle prep and I’m nervous to bend my own axles to cant the rear wheels. Is this a must for rail riding? the car is built so filling the gaps and drilling are not an option...

    Question about weight placement

Quick question about weight placement. Is it better to put as much weight behind the rear axle as possible and balance COG with weight up at the front of the car? OR Is it better to evenly place your weight around the front and back of the rear axle first, then add weight as needed to get the...

New Items All new 93TX axles!

Just ordered a set of these for a race this year. Are these ideal for graphite? And do they require polishing?

Need help finishing a four on the floor car.

Whoa, is this actually effective? With all other things being equal, does a rail-rider with 4 touching actually perform better than a proper aligned straight car?

    Neon Green Flake

This effect actually took me a while to perfect. So I knew I wanted a car that had the same look as a motorcycle flake job but had no idea how they did it. I also knew I wasnt going to buy a professional paint gun. So I started to experiment and emulate their process with spray cans. First...

Which wheel is prefered the Revell or BSA?

So it’s 2021 and I’m back!! Stumbled on this thread and wanted to see if anyone had found the optimal “OEM” combo of axles and wheels for Cub racing? My kids had great success last year with the Revell wheels and axles. (1st and 3rd in their pack) I literally did nothing to them other than...

Hey John, quick question. After using the Black Ice Kit, is there any further prep needed for graphite races? Typically in the past, I've only polished the bore with graphite, but I was wondering if this step is needed anymore after Red Rocket is applied. Thanks! -K

Best automotive product for bore sealer after Novus 2 Polishing

After treating the bore like this, (Red Rocket or other) is there any further prep required? I've always just polished the insides with graphite. Is this needed anymore?

    What to do before Districts?

Ha ha! Well the field at Districts was light. The car did get faster as it went through heats as well. Our top competitor beat us at first, and when we faced them at the end, we had to beat him 2 or 3 times to confirm our place. It was super close. This was the first time I encountered sloppy...
