Quick question about weight placement. Is it better to put as much weight behind the rear axle as possible and balance COG with weight up at the front of the car?

OR

Is it better to evenly place your weight around the front and back of the rear axle first, then add weight as needed to get the proper COG? I find placing all of my weight this way makes it impossible to have the proper COG.

I'm shooting for 4 on the floor with 1" COG. Is this correct?

Others, all with more knowledge than I have, will weigh in shortly. But here’s what I’ve learned... put 2 oz ( yeah, some guys can use more ) behind the axle. The rest in front of the axle, not at the front of the car. 1” cog is very conservative. Have a look at this graphic from txchemist...

Hang time is correct. You will want about 20z of weight behind the rear axle and the rest in front. From here, you will want to put the car on 3 scales (one for each wheel) and adjust how much weight is on each wheel.
