    More Street Rod question

Weight placement will depend on the car, within any build. (SR,SS,BASX,Ect.) From what I can remember on your SR was the distance of the NON DOM wheel from the rail, when the DOM wheel is on the rail. I believe that when your DOM wheel is on the rail your NON DOM wheel is close to 3/4 of a inch...

    More Street Rod question

That car would be legal, as long as the length wasn't to long. Here are the current rules http://npwdrl.boards.net/thread/7/street-rod-rules The wheel covers are referring to tape or other material on the actual wheel.

    Congrats and good luck!

Thanks for the well wishes. I hope that they are genuine, but from some of the post here and on other threads I'm thinking they are not. I guess time will tell. We will be making a formal post in the near future. We wanted to wait till the purchase was finalized, until we said anything...

    Should i try

Craven, Nice job on your build. You picked one of the Hardest classes, in one of the most competitive races to start. Look for ways to get the body mounted closer to the track, and narrow the front wheel spacing so its a little (a lot) tighter between the rail, the front wheel spacing does not...

    Problem turning Wheels

Your melting the wheel. You are better off un-touching the wheels if you don't have the proper equipment. If you can't budget a lathed set of wheels, look for a set of good mold #'s and leave the tread alone. I like 2,8,9, & 14's

The washer between the body and wheel is ok. The bearing and bushing refer to the wheels.

Prepping a Best Track - plan on some time

Having the ends of the track milled is awesome!!! I talked to 5 different machinist before I found one that would do it, or had a mill table big enough to do it. So a little trick I learned about half way through my sanding. Once the track is assembled and your ready to start sanding, at each...

    Gravity release date

You are correct it is a gravity release. The whole gate was changed. I now operates on bearings. I know BSB used to make one like it. They are super consistent and have such a nice feel. I believe Stone Cold Racing made the one that is on John's track, it is a piece of art also.
