Here in the Georgia backwoods the moonshine is the most readily available and easy to find and probably closer to 95%. It will burn a pretty blue flame just like denatured alcohol. Might be better than daddio"s spit for polishing.

Seems to me the only way to truly enforce these rules would be to only allow the kids to work on the cars at the meetings and then lock the cars up until the next meeting. That would defeat the purpose of creating a father/son project. Other option would be post race inspection to tear down...

Isopropyl rubbing alcohol I currenty have is 70%. Guess I need to look for something stronger.

Just got DD4H wheel bore polishing kit. Instructions call for cleaning the wheels with "91% alcohol". Would that be denatured alcohol, rubbing alcohol, moonshine?
