Thanks. I sanded the balsa fenders as smooth as i could before CA glue, up to 400 grit. Sanded again to 400 grit after coating CA glue, then the primer coat was so smooth i only used 600 grit before gloss black paint. I plan to finish with holographic color change paint over the gloss black...

My camera stinks, here is a better shot of first fender attempt. I plan on doing 1 piece fenders between front and back wheels on the other 2 shorter wheel base cars.

My first attempts. Top car is 10.5 g, second down is 7.5g and closest is 4.5g. The one with fenders is 11.5 now, several coats of paint on them. I am wondering if the lightest one is too thin?

Wow. What kind of wood are you using to get that light?

32 feet. I put a laser start gate on it, that is triggered by the start pins falling as well.

We have a freedom track for our Trail Life troop, the seems were not difficult to line up. We did however have to put a small shim under one side of the track at one transition to eliminate a small bump the test car showed. I think the floor at the church was not flat. My 3 races were 2.5046...
