I had heard that method before, and i went with it. We tuned the car tonight and i had a nice steer set with 3 wheels at 3 inches but I bent the 4th axle way too much, live and learn , and no matter how i adjusted it it was steering over 7 inches. but all 4 wheels are touching .... thats the...

My daughter picked her color , i was steering her towards a pink or purple and she kept going back to gold so she got what she wanted. There is a little subliminal reasoning as well, we were runner up last year to a car clearly purchased online so yes going for the gold would be the happy comeback

Agreed B Regal !! If you arent skilled on the drill press go with the jig , I have both and the block is useful as well but the jig is fool proof

The first year i found some tungsten pine car plates at a hobby shop and they worked if you dont have time to order cubes and wait for shipping

Good luck with district race DP !! With the stuff i learned the last 2 years my nephews both won their packs and the younger one finished second by .001 at district last year and earned a spot in the council race. If you study these threads and follow the advice well winning is attainable...

VK , that plan for a cheap homemade track is really good. Better than the plastic track my local girl scout council used last year.

My daughter is in girl scouts and when they have had races the boy scout troop who loaned the track is always there setting up and managing the race, i am sure they would do the same. And it would save you the work of set up and tear down
