This car is for my daughter this year. Hoping she will smoke the other girl's cars this year. I have a 3 wheel rail runner set up. Have the front notched 1/16 narrower at dfw.....4 3/4 wheelbase with weight placed where I have it I have a 1/2" COG. No track testing yet but it appears to roll stable without any front wheel hop. So my question is is this COG gonna be alright?? Currently weighs at 4.9oz but I still gotta finish primer and paint using Testors Extreem Spray Lacquer. I'm running 93tx grooved axles and DD4H Dynasty Rage wheels using his axle and wheel polishing kits with Krytox.

Yes I have some purple vinyl that the trophy shop in town gave me to cover up the routed areas. Car will be painted in Testors Purplicious kinda a metalic purple......my daughter nuts about purple. My son's car is similar in design only his is body was cut out at 3/8" thick compared to her's which is just a hair over 1/4". Both cars loaded with 4oz of tungsten cubes running same wheels(colors are different) and axles and same prep. It's my son's last year in cub scouts before he moves forward into boy scouts so I'm am confident he will be able to win first at district as well as fastest overall at district.....just gonna have to tune her car down if during testing it is slightly faster lol.

Lol....ouch...that is harsh.

Well the best he ever finished at district was 3rd....

This is her first year in cub scouts so she has a more years to dominate....though she will probably take 1st in Tigers. I've been running the district race last 3 years and pretty familiar with various people's car builds lol

My son's car for his last year.....metalic black with 2 coats clear and 3 coats of wax. Polished behind wheels on the body with red rocket too.

Well my daughter won pack race setting new track record. We have 42foot best track and she set record with 3.0524....not the speed I was hoping for but for our area its the bomb. My son's car on other hand got me stumped...

Before race I tuned it and the best I could get it was. 3.073. During race however it ran 3.11. 3.10....3.09........after race he was running it and started with same times...I loosened wheel gap and it ran bout same. Then he had one run of 3.02 then other runs of 3.099

I know my method of drilling the rears with 3deg cant is primative and believe bad rear alignment is to blame. Still my daughters car was built the same and is consistant in the 3.05 and 3.06 range

Think I will re prep his wheels before District race.

The 3.02 seems like an anomaly. Was it set on the starting gate correctly? Other than that, it seems like when the car was in "traffic", it ran a bit slower, which is to be expected. I have built many cars which I believe to be the same, but it never is that way. They always run different and need different things to be as fast as they can be. Sometimes, its as simple as one set of wheels is better than the other set and there is nothing you can do.
