2013 Street Rod construction

OH Thank you QT...That helped a TON!!! Oh skippy
smack
I thought you were a Mopar guy??? cant wait to see it. Mine should be painted up soon too!

I thought I would show y'all my progress on the Shelby. Here is a picture of it primed and painted. From looking at the other cars, I think I may be at a disadvantage with the wheelbase, length, and aerodynamics, but I like it still and am excited to finish it so it can race. Thanks again Quicktime for showing the mounting process.

Very sweet Skippy!!! I'm glad to see a little blue oval to beat up on!! I don't think that you are going to be at any kind of disadvantage. 1/25 models are all real close and according to AMT there is not much difference in the 3 choices at all. With the new rules the set up is going to make or break you. I have seen what you can do so you got nothing to worry about. Keep the pictures coming I love seeing the progress.

This is for QT. I noticed in the picture that one of the wheels had a plastic cover on the back of the wheel, like we used when one wheel was lifted so it wouldn't touch the track. I thought this class demanded all four wheels on the ground. ??????

That's just a wheel off a old car. More used for dimensions. I did however get a nice new set of 2.0 grams from John, THANK YOU my friend!!!

Nice car!!! That is what I bought too, however, I now have two of them as I messed up the first one!!
angry
It is coming along though and I should have some pics up soon but for now it (they) are still white!!!

I bought the mustang and the Z-28 but I am running out of time. Going to leave the Z-28 orange but I want to paint the mustang so I might try to get one finished in time and work on the other later.

I'm in the same boat as you I wanted to build one of each but time is not on my side. Best of luck getting one ready.

Worked on the axles and wheels this weekend, and man did the wheels come out nice!! I threw a old set of wheels on the new axles and got the wheels spacing and it tracking nice and straight down on of my sections. Getting all four touching is a feat in itself. This is going to be a very interesting race. I think if we see times in the .98X-.99X's that would be real impressive.
